Join us in the woods from the
afternoon into the TWILIGHT around the fire
Guided by Mother Nature Facilitators Emma and Hattie and the more than human world, we will gather in a beautiful woodland and cosy roundhouse with a wood stove, near the river Wye, in rural Herefordshire.
Time for silence, connection to the seasons and ourselves, being in nature and connecting with others who understand just how you feel.
We will gather in Circle, to connect with the land & ourselves and will be exploring natural wisdom through embodied practice and using the Mother Nature Cards. There is so much to be learnt, reminded of and offering service to, when we come together in Circle, as women have since ancient times.

Plan for our time together
We will spend our time together outside in the mature woodland and in the cosy roundhouse with a wood stove, share our stories and be in a supportive and nurturing environment using songs, nature connection practices and guided visualisations for a deep embodied experience. We will spend time with the majestic trees and will then gather by the fire as the night draws in. We will be using Mother Nature Cards to support us, whatever stage we are at within the fascinating, challenging and inspiring journey of Motherhood.
This retreat is for women only, although it can be challenging to find childcare, we feel that having this time without our children gives us the opportunity to dive deep into our own reflective and nourishing journey.

Meet The Facilitators
Hattie Duke & Emma Gorbutt
Hattie Duke
Hattie Duke is a Nature Based Facilitator, mother of twin boys, with skills in Biographical Counselling. She has over 20 years experience as a Forest School Leader, a Waldorf Teacher and mentor for teenage girls. She runs a monthly Mother Nature Circle in her shared woodland in Herefordshire. She also runs Hearthlight.

Emma Gorbutt
Emma has had a varied career working for organisations supporting and creating community projects working for positive social and environmental. Since 2011 she has been living and working at Earthworm Housing Co-op and is mum to a 12 year old boy. In 2018 she joined Looby Macnamara working for Applewood Permaculture Centre and in 2021 she joined the Mother Nature Team. She has co-facilitated the Mothers in Action, Mothers as Natural Leaders, Leading Mother Nature Circles Courses and Mother Nature Retreats and is one of the co-authors of our book Mothers As Natural Leaders.
